Become a Steward of Project Kids
Like what Project Kids does and want to help? We are a 100% volunteer organization and can use all the help we can get. Check out the options below and let us know where you feel you fit in our organization.
IN THE NEWS
Project Kids raises money via four different sources: individual donations, corporate sponsorships, auctions/raffles, and grants. There are more grant opportunities than there is time to complete applications. If you are interested in working with a small group of people that researches and fills out grant applications, then we have an exciting position for you!
Project Kids currently has two main fundraising events, our Fall Raffle and our Spring dinner and auction. That keeps us plenty busy for the year. But with more volunteers comes more opportunities for additional fundraisers. If you like raising funds for great nonprofits and are creative, then we welcome your participation. You are also welcome if you just want to participate in our current fundraisers.
West Ada Outreach
Project Kids main area of influence is the West Ada School District. We work with several employees of this district that identify students and families that would benefit from our financial assistance. Sadly, not every employee and parent are aware of our organization. Project Kids is beginning an awareness campaign that will target the PTO, PTA, student councils, and other student organizations to bring them up to speed as to who Project Kids is. If you would like to be part of this campaign, we would appreciate all the help we can get.
While Project Kids focuses mainly on the West Ada School District, that doesn’t mean that we do not want everyone else to know who we are and what we do. We are looking for individuals interested in contacting community, government, and civic groups in and around Ada County. A lot in life is who you know, and Project Kids would like to know everyone they can.
Are you tech savvy? Project Kids would love to have you involved in planning Facebook posts, web site updates, and any other outlet we obtain in the future. We would like this group to meet each month to plan the next month’s post and updates and at the same time post and update pictures from our events.
A business cannot determine where to go if it does not know what it is doing now and in the past. The same is true of Project Kids. We are lucky enough to have a board member that keeps excellent records on what Project Kids accomplishes in the West Ada School District schools. Now that we are have concentrated on distinct programs it is even more important. If you have experience in excel or BI, we have a spot for you.
